The games
Every Bad Alibi game is written from what your group says about each other. Here’s what you can play tonight, and what’s coming next.
The group trip fund is gone and one of you took it. Build your alibi, read the evidence, make secret moves, then vote.
A new story, built the same way: from your group’s jokes, not ours. Get one email when it’s out.
Start at eight, done by ten past nine, with two breaks for drinks. Each step has a timer and moves on early once everyone taps done.

Build your look and answer a few cheeky questions about each other. The game is written from your answers.
8:00 PM
A title your friends voted for, a small secret and a goal. One of you took the money.
8:04 PM
Where you were at 11:52, who with, and your proof. Friends stamp it: buy it or cap.
8:25 PM
New evidence, and the detective grills whoever looks guiltiest. Then lights out: snoop, leak or protect. The culprit plants fakes and deletes messages.
9:00 PM
One line each, then vote and bet on how sure you are.
9:10 PM
What really happened, every fake and deleted message, everyone's secrets and awards. Then run it back.
The first mystery
Friday, 11:40 PM. The lake house trip leaves at 8 tomorrow morning.
The trip fund had $1,200 in it. By midnight it was empty: three transfers, and the last one was approved with Face ID at 11:52 PM.
Everyone here could get into the fund. Everyone says they were nowhere near a phone. One of you is lying.
The first piece of evidence everyone sees.
Before the night, your friends say what you’re known for, and the game makes you that character. Tap one to see who they’re made for.
“Five minutes away.” Since 2019.
Made for the friend who’s always 20 minutes late.
Like everyone, they have a small secret to protect. If they turn out to be the culprit, they also have a reason for taking the money.
Your file and secret stay on your screen. The detective’s questions use what your friends said about you.
You are
The Unofficial Trip Manager
You made the itinerary. Nobody read it.
Your secret
Your goal
Work out who took the money, and keep your own secret: you booked a secret sunset boat with fund money.
Try it with a friend’s name
This is a real line from the game.
The detective asks
“Jordan, you’re always 20 minutes late. So where were you at 11:52?”
A few things people say in The Missing Weekend Fund, straight from the game.
“At 11:52 I was on the phone with my mom. For an hour. Don’t ask.”
“Someone saw Maya checking the trip fund app at dinner. Twice.”
“At 11:52 I had a face mask on and wet hands. Face ID doesn’t work like that.”
“Exhibit A: Ethan, famous for “cries at every movie”. Exhibit B: an empty trip fund. Discuss.”
